Many students like myself are stuck at home and are currently working through the new online curriculum. Doing so can be difficult for some students as independence is a skill that can take a very long time to develop and is not an easy skill to develop.

However, this period has forced independence upon students and some are struggling and feeling the stress of academics during this period. Here are some excellent free resources that you may want to consider.

  1. Khan Academy — Khan Academy is an excellent website for every subject you could come across in school. Younger students can use the resources to help build on the foundational activities that they are provided to them in school. However, Khan Academy is key to older students, especially high school students preparing for AP Exams. Khan Academy has focused subject areas that cover most, if not all of the material that you need to know for the AP Exam. Even if you don’t have any AP Exams, the website has several other resources to help you in other classes such as math and science.
  2. Tyler Dewitt and Melissa Maribel — These two YouTube Channels are specific to science students but are by far the most helpful. Most high school students know Tyler Dewitt for his in-depth and clear explanations of the material. Melissa Maribel is a relatively newer YouTuber who covers similar topics but goes less in depth but still explains the concepts very well. If you need help in science, these channels are the keys to your success.
  3. Jacob Clifford — This YouTube channel is specific to economics students, especially AP Economics students, and is extremely helpful and is one that I use. Clifford offers engaging explanations to various economic concepts and shows students that concepts that look difficult on paper are actually much simpler.

Hopefully these resources serve you and your students well. If you find any others that are very helpful to your student, please reach out and let me know.
